The City of Tempe, in partnership with the Tempe Union High School District, invites teens to discuss diversity topics, cultural understanding, discrimination, and to share life experiences and perceptions. The purpose of this program is to foster community dialogue.
Starting March 28th, groups of 10-12 diverse individuals will meet on six consecutive Tuesday evenings at the Tempe Public Library to discuss issues of diversity in Tempe. Too apply, please go to www.tempe.gov/diversitydialogue.
Registration for Summer Education Academy, to be held at Marcos de Niza, is on-going through the first week of May. Classes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Check the district office website, tempeunion.org, for class closures. Registration forms are available in the Counseling Office.
If you are a Native American Freshman through Senior and wish to learn how to receive college credit for free through the Hoops of Learning program, please attend the informational meeting on Thursday during 6th period in the counseling Career Center.
